    A multi-sensory play experience
This fun and unique rattle stimulates the senses with a variety of colorful parts, in an assortment of shapes and sizes, that make different sounds. They are fascinating to explore with the hands and mouth (teether-hands, rattle-feet), developing baby's sense of sight, hearing and touch, and coordination between them.
    Fine Motor Development
The varying sizes and shapes of the parts allow baby to hold the Ring-O in different ways, in accordance with her abilities and the size of the part. She learns to match her grasp to the part. For example, at first she holds it with all her fingers, shaking it to hear the sounds. Later, she learns to grasp the hands or the eye with two or three fingers and to turn the mouth with a single finger. Finally, she learns to stand it on its feet. Manipulating the parts skillfully requires coordination between her two hands: one hand holds while the other hand does something to the part.

    Cognitive Skills
The Ring-O rattle helps develop understanding of the concept of cause and effect, as sounds and movements are caused by baby shaking the rattle. Later, baby notices the parts of the body and face that she is holding: eyes, mouth, hands, or feet.

    3-6 months
Baby holds the Ring-O, shakes it to hear the rattle and gradually learns to move the rattle from one hand to another. She watches the parts move as she shakes the rattle and learns the connection between her actions and the effect. She puts the parts in her mouth and discovers the different textures: the teether-hands and hard plastic eyes. She looks at the mirror/hologram of the mouth, developing her senses while doing so.

    6-9 months
Baby holds the Ring-O, shakes it and moves it from one hand to another. She puts it into her mouth for further investigation, discovering the teether-hands, the various bumps on the feet, and learns to deliberately produce the sounds. She gradually tries to move the figure¡¯s parts with her hands, improving motor skills.

    9-18 months
Baby has learned to separate her fingers and can distinguish between the various parts of the toy's face. She learns their possible functions, enjoys turning the mouth with one finger and the eyes with two or three fingers, developing and improving motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Furthermore, until the age of about one year, baby's mouth is the primary vehicle for exploration and discovery, and she will often put objects into her mouth for further investigation. Ring-O provides fascinating stimuli for exploration with its variety of parts, sizes, textures and materials, developing the sense of touch.
