Can the Nuna RAVA Next be used for a newborn?

Yes. The RAVA Next can be used rear-facing for a baby weighing at least 5 lbs and measuring at least 18". The included infant insert must be used from 5 to 11 lbs to help achieve the correct harness fit and recline angle.

What are the Nuna RAVA Next height and weight limits?

The RAVA Next accommodates children rear-facing from 5 to 50 lbs and 18" to 49". It can be used forward-facing from 30 to 65 lbs and 34" to 49", once the child is at least 2 years old. Children should remain rear-facing until they reach the seat’s rear-facing height or weight limit.

Should the RAVA Next be installed with the seat belt or lower anchors?

The RAVA Next can be installed with either the vehicle’s lap-and-shoulder belt or its lower anchors. Nuna identifies the vehicle seat belt as the preferred installation method. Lower anchors may be used rear-facing through 35 lbs and forward-facing through 40 lbs. Never use the vehicle belt and lower anchors together.

Can the Nuna RAVA Next fit three across?

Nuna designed the RAVA Next to fit three across in most midsize vehicles. Its width ranges from approximately 19" to 21", depending on the cup holder configuration. Actual fit depends on the vehicle, seating position and neighboring car seats, so measurements should be confirmed before purchasing three seats.

What is the difference between the Nuna RAVA and RAVA Next?

Both seats provide rear-facing use up to 50 lbs and forward-facing use up to 65 lbs. The RAVA Next is lighter and designed to fit three across in most midsize rather than full-size vehicles. It also adds a dedicated SIP insert, magnetic buckle holders, larger removable cup holders and certification to the latest FMVSS 213a and 213b impact requirements.

How does the RAVA Next compare with the Nuna REVV and EXEC Next?

The RAVA Next offers higher rear- and forward-facing limits than the rotating Nuna REVV but does not rotate. The EXEC Next has similar harness limits and adds a booster mode up to 110 lbs. The RAVA Next is best for families who want a streamlined convertible seat without paying for rotation or a booster mode.

Are the Nuna RAVA Next fabrics fire-retardant free and washable?

Yes. The fabrics and foams contain no added fire-retardant chemicals, and the seat is GREENGUARD Gold Certified. The seat fabric, infant inserts and harness covers are machine washable according to Nuna’s care instructions.

Is the Nuna RAVA Next approved for airplane travel?
