Just released, the NunaPipa RX infant car seat series that comes with the RELX base AND the upgraded Pipa Lite R infant car seat that will also come with the new RELX base (release is mid-summer). We are excited to share with you the technology that keeps Nuna a step ahead of its competition.

Let’s start with the RELX base which is really where the upgrades can be found:

Priced at $199.95, RELX Pipa series base is one of the first to feature an adjustable stability leg to fit in the center positions and a wider range of vehicles. The base is designed to work on all new and old model Pipas. RELX base also helps take the guesswork out of installing the base with colored indicators, no more bubble levels! Nuna boasts that the RELX base can be installed in five seconds with their true lock installation that is guess-free and hassle-free. Recline positions are numbered and you can change the position as your baby grows without having to uninstall the base. Vehicle seat belt lock off makes belt routing easy with the open belt path, opens with a touch of a button, and accommodates more vehicles. Built into the RELX base is their anti-rebound panel which reduces the rearward motion in an event of a vehicle collision while also aiding with installation and achieving a tight installation.

Along with their new and improved RELX Base, Nuna released 2 new infant car seats! Expect the same features that you know and love from the PIPA and PIPA lite but are now equipped with the new RELX base! Both new seats are outfitted with Organic Jersey fabric and are flame retardant additive-free.

PIPA RX costs $349.95 and weighs in at 7.5 lbs (.5 lbs lighter than the PIPA). The increase in the price is due to the PIPA RX being equipped with the RELX base. They have also included buckle holders whereas PIPA does not have magnetic holders.

PIPA Lite R costs $399.95 and is also equipped with the new RELX base. However, with this new release, Nuna has decided to not include the infant insert. PIPA lite r is outfitted with Organic Jersey compared to PIPA lite which is outfitted with Polyester.
