UPPAbaby Vista is one of the most popular strollers on the market today thanks to its overall versatility and function. It is one of the few strollers capable of accommodating two children while also being compatible with a wide range of possible car seats. While this makes the UPPAbaby Vista one of the most versatile options to date, it also adds a bit of confusion for parents as they figure out the car seat compatibly and adapters. Let’s take a look at adapters for UPPAbaby Vista and compatible car seats to make it easier to manage.

The Basics

It is worth noting that the car seat that is naturally compatible with the UPPAbaby Vista is the UPPAbaby Mesa. This car seat does not require any adapters or connectors to use it with the UPPAbaby Vista which makes it the ideal choice for a simplified approach. It is also worth noting that while you do not need any adapters to use the Mesa car seat in the Vista stroller, this is only the case when operating as a single stroller. If you are looking to use the Mesa car seat in the stroller as a double stroller, you will need the upper adapter and, in some cases, the lower adapter as well. If you are using any other car seats for the Vista stroller, in either single or double mode, you will need certain adapters.

While the Mesa is the only choice capable of being used in the Vista without adapters, it is not the only car seat choice possible. With the right adapters, you can use a range of car seat brands and models in your UPPAbaby Vista stroller.

Single Stroller Mode

When looking for which car seats are compatible with your UPPAbaby Vista V2 (and prior versions) stroller, there are a few options to consider. If your stroller is a model from 2015-current, these are the infant car seats you can use in the UPPAbaby Vista:

• UPPAbaby MESA (no adapters required)
• Chicco KeyFit, KeyFit30 and Fit2 (with adapter)
• Clek Liing (with adapter)
• Cybex Aton seat and Cloud Q series (with adapter)
• Maxi-Cosi Mico Max 30, Mico AP, Mico NXT, Mico, Citi, Cabrio and CabrioFix (with adapter)
• Nuna PIPA, PIPA Lite and PIPA Lite LX (with ring adapter by Nuna or post adapters by UPPAbaby)
• Peg-Perego Primo Viaggio 4-35 and the 4-35 Nido (with adapter)

Double Stroller Mode

When planning to convert the stroller to a double stroller, you will need to consider the configuration and go from there. For instance, there are different ways to configure the stroller such as an infant seat in the upper and a toddler seat in the back, two infant seats, or even a toddler in the upper seat and bassinet in the lower seat. The stroller can be changed into a double with the use of purchased adapters and a RumbleSeat. The RumbleSeat is only for use on the lower seat and has a weight limit of 35 pounds. If you are adding a toddler to the stroller, you will need to purchase a toddler seat. This toddler seat can only be used in the upper seat and has a weight limit of 50 pounds. When you convert from a single stroller to a double stroller with this model, you will need an upper adapter to create ample space between the two seats, as well as a lower adapter if you plan on using a bassinet or car seat in the lower seat.
Here are a few of the many configurations you can do with the right adapters when using the UPPAbaby Vista:

Upper Adapter Configurations

• Infant car seat in upper position + RumbleSeat in the lower position (required)
• Toddler seat in upper position + RumbleSeat in the lower position (recommended)
• Toddler seat in upper position + a bassinet in the lower position (required)
• Multiple infant car seats (required)
• More than one bassinet (required)
• Infant car seat + an added RumbleSeat

Lower Adapter Configurations

• Toddler seat in the upper position + a bassinet in the lower position
• Toddler seat in the upper position + an infant car seat in the lower position
• More than one bassinet
• Multiple infant car seats
• Toddler Seat + a single bassinet (upper adapter also required)

Once you figure out how you intend to configure the stroller, it will be easier to find the right adapters for the needs of your family. You should also keep in mind that most adapters are not interchangeable between car seat manufacturers. For instance, if you are using a NUNA PIPA car seat in the UPPAbaby Vista, you will need the adapter manufactured by NUNA for that specific car seat. The good news is that it’s easy to find the appropriate adapters based on the car seat, RumbleSeat, or toddler seat you are adding to the Vista stroller.
