The PIPA infant car seat series continues to be the leader in the market for those seeking safety and quality. The entire PIPA line up uses fabrics that are Fire Retardant Free, Greenguard Gold certified, and the rigid-LATCH system with load leg for added impact protection on the base.
The newest and need I say best-EST in the family, is the PIPA AIRE RX car seat which was designed for those looking at the PIPA for quality and but would prefer lighter weight car seat to carry around. The Pipa Aire RX comes in at 6.2lbs. and includes the same powerful RELX base and is fully loaded with the same features as the Pipa RX. The $100 premium you pay is for the technology of the lighter version of the car seat.
The PIPA series with RELX base was introduced in 2020. Despite its start during a global pandemic, the PIPA RX has proven to be a true player in the market. The RELX base offers a tighter installation in more cars by using an adjustable LATCH system. The angle of the car seat can be adjusted while installed (what Nuna calls on-the-go) on the RELX base and the load-leg on the RELX base is height adjustable for middle seat installation where the floor of the car my vary in height. The RELX base also features an anti-rebound bar which means you have the best impact protection from the back, front and sides!
